Spring has sprung

Hey all!

Spring is here! So we need to fill our wardrobes with the most fabulous clothes and I'm feeling this season is a strong one. There's a range of styles out there from metallics to 90's teen spirit to florals. It is worth browsing the net for massive savings because you never know what you might find!

Today I'll be building an outfit. Whether you choose to buy one, none or all of these pieces, I'll just be grateful that you're still reading haha!

Now if you're a sunnies kinda gal then I have the perfect ones for you! Choies.com provide a wondeful range and if you're feeling floral then I would recommend these beauties at just $24.99!

If you fancy yourself as a fashionista, then step out in this stunning kimono with its intrinsic detailing then you're bound to be the centre of attention. From only £29.99, it's hard to say no!

What with all of the pizazz of the kimono, you'd only want a simple dress which Zara have once again provided.

Add simple clean cut white strappies to give your look a Vogue-like quality. I recommend these H&M sandals which have enough colour to make them unique.

Finally, the bag! Add this beautiful River Island clutch from £25 and you've got yourself an outfit!

Thanks for reading!

New makeover coming soon!

Good afternoon!

So I haven't really been blogging lately because I lost allllll interest in it. Until now!

<Queue the drumroll>

I'm not going to give you just a typical blog about what I'm wearing/doing, oh no. From today onwards, I will become a virtual stylist.

I have this awful habit of finding amazing websites and buys that I never EVER share with my Facebook friends due to the fact that they'd think 'Who's this kid?!' Quite frankly, if I'm not writing about some Jeremy Kyle-like situation in my status, then I'm just a wallflower. So instead of dying to tell just anyone in the street, I will be sharing the amazing finds with you guys because trust me, you'll love them!

And that's pretty much me done. As we say in Geordie, new makeover blog, 'come at iz!'

Spring key pieces

Hi!

It's been an exciting time this past month, what with London Fashion Week and all!

I decided as a tribute to the amazing clothes that have been on my screen, to compile an outfit embracing current trends including preppy and floral patterns!

Bra top - £35 (Lazy Oaf)
Pencil skirt - £22 (Topshop)
Varsity jacket - £45 (Topshop)
Clutch bag - £199 (Vivienne Westwood)
Chain necklace -£55 (Ted Baker)
Beanie hat- $32 (BOTB via Karmaloop)
Hi-top shoes - £50 but now £35 (River Island)

At the moment I love beanies and this is the most bitchin' beanie that I've come across! And can I just point out that the bra top is just so cute! Kind of need that in my life right now despite being a broke bum :/

Screw Valentine's Day! Dye your hair pink!

Hiii!

Sooo this Valentine's Day, I will be doing nothing as I'm at work :( I'm mentally preparing myself for all of the lovey-dovey couples that gaze lovingly into each other's eyes, yet never manage to bump into anything! Even when I'm paying attention, I still manage to fall over face first! Talk about Bridget Jones!

Well I thought I'd do a little entry dedicated to the singletons and the loved up couples who just hate other loved up couples.

So go crazy and go pink!

Style icons of 2013

Good evening!

Now everybody's got over Christmas, stuffed themselves with turkey and lived through the 'eerie period' between Christmas and New Year's Day, it's time for a wardrobe overhaul!

Some style icons that we should be looking out for this year:

1. Azealia Banks

From her kooky mermaid hair to her crazy music videos, there's no denying that Azealia Banks will be big this year. With the likes of ASOS snapping her up for their winter campaign, we'll be seeing her more often. Although her style can be described as 'outlandish', she paves the way for more interesting and new styles.

...

2. Cara Delevingne

With defining eyebrows and long golden longs, we can definitely see why Cara won the 'Model of the Year 2012' at the British Fashion Awards. Having already walked for Chanel and D&G, we can expect big things from her in the future. Plus you can't go wrong with a large collection of onesies!

...

3. Rita Ora

Despite the recent scandals surrounding her, that girl can dress! With no particular style, she changes from urban chic to 50's glam, making her one of the most versatile style icons out there. She goes to prove that we don't need to be scared and stick to one style, why not try out another? Add some dark plum lipstick to vamp up a daytime look or go wild and dye your locks!

...

Overall, I think this is the year to enjoy ourselves! It took me forever to dye my hair pink, wish I had just been myself a long time ago! So have a lovely day and I will write soon!

2013 trends

Why hello there readers!

Once again it's been a long while since I've written on here. Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year's Eve. Mine involved a lot of gin, writing 'Mam' on my arm with eyeliner and pretending to be Marina and the Diamonds with a heart on my cheek :/ Yes, in public... So my New Year's resolution is to write on here more! And to consume less crap... like McDonald's double cheeseburgers, Coca Cola and ooo peanut butter... Yeah you see my point ha!

...

Anyhooo 2013 will bring us some more awesome fashion trends. I can see at work new styles slowly creeping in.
Dungarees will be making a comeback with denim and tailored styles with stockists including Topshop and River Island. The dungarees in the photo are Boutique from Topshop.

...

We will also be seeing a re-emergence of belted floral dresses with lengths between knee and midi.

In terms of makeup, we have the smokey grunge eyes and a new style for the lips, 'vampire shaped lips'. Think gothic romance. I think these lips would look stunning with a vintage black dress to add a bit of drama and uniqueness to your look. Try with a flowing 'Florence-like' dress to have edge but not look as dark! I know I'll be trying these lips out!
