Evening!

It's been a while since I posted on here! Jeez, I should get on here more often!

First of all I have re-discovered the bleach bottle. So my hair's been blue, pink, purple, basically the rainbow. At the moment I've settled for pink.

 ...

Also, my wardrobe has had a change around. I seem to have a tonne more vintage clothes than I used to. Yay for thrifting!

...

I found myself in Leeds Festival over the summer. Full of booze, good music and vomiting indie kids :/ It was a great line up involving Crystal Castles, Foo Fighters and Florence and the Machine. There was an awkward moment when Florence's dress kept moving Northwards but she gave a damn good performance. Here's a photo of Crystal Castles!

...

So that's just a quick update of everything that's went on. Hope you guys are having a good day.

Docs!

Evening!

Yesterday I finally caved and bought some Dr Martens. Mainly as they were £40 less than instore! I've been dying for a pair for a while now but with such a colorful and quirky range, it took me hours to choose. After careful decisions (and a peek into my piggy bank) I settled on the floral print on black canvas.

I like the idea that despite its spring floral pattern, the black makes it wearable into the chilly seasons. And who doesn't want to prolong their wardrobe?!

Out of the range of colours on offer, I came across some pastel docs! I'm feeling an Alice in Wonderland crossed with a grunge vibe. I love the idea of pastel colours on such heavy boots! They would look amazing with ribbon laces! Throw in a vintage midi dress and they'll be next purchase next payday!

Thank you for reading this once again and I'll leave you guys with the cookie monster :)

Hey!

The sale period has been mental in Newcastle! People are going wild for a bargain which I'm not surprised. Clothes are so expensive these days, but definitely worth the money... most of the time!

So the other day someone asked me 'what is your exact style?' At first I didn't know how to answer I mean, I change it not just on a weekly basis, but a daily basis. Then I thought, we all change our look depending on the mood we're in. Sometimes I'll wear grunge Creepers with meatballs in my hair or go in looking like Polly Pocket!

For me it's good to be versatile when it comes to fashion otherwise you'll be stereotyped into a 'goth' or a 'prep'. Keep people guessing, that's the key. Plus I've always been fond of the idea that you can play a different character everyday depending on your look.

If you're still reading then you may be interested in my new look. I love the idea of a granny midi with Creepers.

Anyhow, I better go hunt for food! Thank you for reading!

Hi!

Haven't posted in ages!! Where to start?! Alright, so after I got paid I went on a crazy ass shopping spree. Worth it? Well I'm raking through my wallet every hour hoping for money to fizzle out of thin air. Apart from that, I'm loving the idea that I have many purchases that will amuse me for... wellllll... a month of so...

...

So this includes one of my purchases from a longgg list! I've always wanted heel-less shoes since I lay eyes on those beautiful Jeffrey Campbell's.

So I bought the cheaper and less wallet-busting versions. <Enter my new shoes>

I was pretty chuffed with them. I decided to test drive them at a party. Pretty easy to walk in although admittedly enough, I did almost tumble a few times (but not fall over fully!)

...

Onto my next new buy. A palm tree bag from Urban Outfitters! It's become my favourite shop recently with all of its vintage shirts and great sale stock. I nabbed this pretty for only £17!

 ...

Next are my River Island splurges. I bought a headband which seem to be pretty major at the moment. I love the whole hippy look so thought it would compliment my new skirt and black crop top nicely.

Obviously more shoes were need. I bought these Flatforms from River Island for £20! I had been eyeing them up for a while so jumped at the cheaper price!

And finally, I bought several dresses but this one in particular is my favourite. I love the whole scenery photo on a dress. As this is a midi dress, I'll team it with creepers, socks and my leather jacket.

...

So once again, thanks for reading and stayed tuned!

Hey!

I think an update is in order! Ok, so it was my birthday yesterday. 22 years young! It was good despite having food poisoning! Surprisely enough I can actually say 'it's just my luck' and mean it. I really am a walking Bridget Jones!

Anyhooo I got money which will hopefully go towards the Mickey Mouse leggings, similar to the ones Lady Gaga wore in her video 'Paparazzi'. I also received one of the new DKNY fragrances. It's gorgeous! It smells of meringue! I have an obsession with sweet smelling perfumes.

...

Anyway back to the present! I bought this outfit a while ago for work. The only thing new on there are the shoes. As a Tim Burton fan, I felt that the Beetlejuice leggings were a must. This look can also be layered with a long fringed waistcoat to add a little something.

...

Hope you all had a good day!

Evening!

I've had a pretty productive day today. I've come up with more ideas to add to my shabby chic room and I've also created another outfit!

...

I was in Urban Outfitters when I came across this awesome shirt! Although my boyfriend thinks it looks like thrown up pizza, I think it's a work of art :) The prints are so vivid plus I love the roses. I knew instantly that they would team well with my burgundy knitted waistcoat. Vintage prints are always the best!

...

I also snapped up a bargain with these platforms. On sale for £20! Since platforms are big at the moment, I thought I'd get in on the action before next season's wardrobe comes in. You gotta love a good sale!

Once again thanks for reading guys and I hope you all have a good night or day!

Shabby chic

So at the moment I have an unhealthy obsession with Shabby Chic. If it has gingham, owls or foxes I love it!

I've been trying to convert my room into a Shabby Chic den and this is all I've done so far.

I have a longggg way to go to achieve the whole look but I can live with this. The lyrics on the wall are from a song by Eddie Vedder called 'Guaranteed'. Although they're not in the photo, I have clouds hanging from the ceiling. Oh yeahhh! It took agesss to make them. I used cotton wool over paper maché balloons and sewed beaded raindrops onto the bottom of them. I will update with a picture soon.

 ...

To add to the room I bought a red gingham blackboard which will help majorly since I have a memory like a fish, no joke! I'm also bidding for crazy cute cushions. I want to fall into a heap of cushion clouds when I go to bed!

Anyhooo I better go to bed! Night all!

Evening all!

I spent most of my day imagining an outfit for work and yes I was working too! So this is the overall product of five hours!

I came across the song 'Youth' by Daughter the other night and it inspired me to be more romantic. With beautiful lyrics screaming lights, freedom and a 'Let's build a den!' attitude, you've just got to do something about it! I've been 'grunging out' lately so it was nice to take off the Beetlejuice leggings for a more 'sweep me off my feet' look. I would of liked to put a messy plait in to get the overall romantic feel but I'm a Bagpuss :)

...

I love the whole socks with sandals thing. I don't think it's a faux pas, I think we should embrace it! Frilly socks and woven sandals? I'm like a big kid again!

...

To complete the outfit I added a stunning necklace from Topshop which was a bargain at the sale price of under a fiver! I'm really into Shabby Chic style at the moment so what better than to add a fox and an owl to my look?!

...

That pretty sums up my day today. Hope you guys had a good one too!

jell-o!

Welcome to the colourful fashion blog that is mine :)

So this is my first ever blog! About time too! I've finally decided to 'get with the times' and share to all you people out there my thoughts and Mad Hatter craziness.

Where do I start? Well I'm a sales advisor working for a high street store so my life IS fashion. I help people put outfits together and feel awesome doing so. My goal in life has changed alottaaaa times but I've finally come up with one I'm going to stick with. <Drum roll please> A visual merchandiser.

I know what you're thinking, you're thinking 'Really?? That deserved a typed drum roll?' Well actually it did. The visual merchandisers or product managers as they're known in my store have one of the most important roles. Simply, they dress us. Yes all of us. Have you ever just walked past a window display and been pleasantly delighted so wandered into that shop? I bet you have at least once in your life. They influence our style and make us recognise that yes indeed, socks do rock with heels under a pleated skirt. So yep, this is my goal and as lame as it all sounds, it will lead onto Happiness Lane.

Thanks for reading. Stay tuned. I'm out.
